Teamwork
The objectives of this outcome are set forth to ensure that a student will work with others to achieve common goals and to demonstrate collaboration, tolerance, and an understanding and acceptance to individual roles within a group.
2013 Cross Country State Champions
During the 2013 cross country season, our team was crowned the MHSAA Division 3 State Champions. This outstanding accomplishment was a result from hard work and dedication. Each member of the team put in countless hours of running workouts, easy runs, core workouts, and lifting workouts. This accomplishment would not have been possible without our dedication and our teamwork.
Water Bottle Refilling Station
For my dual enrollment Speech 101 class through Mid Michigan Community College, I did a group research project on water bottle refilling stations. For this project, my group did a lot of online research, called various high schools and universities, and interviewed many different people.
We then presented our presentation to the class. The video of our presentation is on the right. For this presentation, there were three different groups. The winning group would get to present to the Shepherd Board of Education and try to get these installed in our school. My group won and we presented to the Board of Education. To set our group apart from the other groups, we had business cards made. These business cards included our contact information, as well as, our website information. One of these business cards is shown below the video on the right. In order to have our information available to the public, we made a website that has all of our information on it. We used the website for our presentation. The button below includes a link to our website. |

Physics Video Project
|
For my physics class, we had to make a video that demonstrated the three laws of motion being broken. To make this video, four of us worked together to create a plot that demonstrated this criteria. We then decided who would play each part in the movie and where each scene would be filmed. After all of the scenes had been filmed, we all worked together to finish the movie. This entire project required a large amount of teamwork. |
The Bridge Project
For a project in my physics class, we had to make a popsicle stick bridge. To build this bridge, we could only use 125 popsicle sticks and hot glue. The bridge then had to span at least an 18 inch gap. Overall, our bridge held 115 pounds. In order to make the bridge, my group used some of strategies we learned in physics class. One of these strategies was to use triangles in order to maximize the support of our bridge. |
